My name is Des & all I want to do is create beautiful things.

I’ve been designing websites and blogging since I first discovered the internet in high school, back in the halcyon days of geocities and dial-up and blinking ‘under construction!’ gifs. I studied computer science and graphic design at UC Santa Barbara and I’ve spent the last few years as an eBusiness Consultant for a large financial services company, developing internal web applications. I also spent two years as a Small Business Coach in San Francisco and four years running my own jewelry design company. I know what it takes to help small business succeed, especially online. I bring this insight into all my projects and I also provide additional coaching and consulting to small business owners looking for help.

So I live in the Sacramento with my boyfriend, our baby, and two ridiculous cats. I have terrible insomnia (and, you know, a baby). Possibly related: I spend most of my money at Starbucks.
